Prince's Full Autopsy Report Won't Be Released, But Here's What We Know | Bustle
http://www.bustle.com/articles/157370-princes-full-autopsy-report-wont-be-released-but-heres-what-we-know

"On Thursday, June 2, Prince's official autopsy results were released on Twitter by the Midwest Medical Examiner's office. However, the report explains Prince's full autopsy will not be released. The medical examiner's office's statement press release reads:

This public data includes the manner and cause of death. Under Minnesota law, all other medical examiner data is considered private or nonpublic data. The Medical Examiner's office is unable to make any further comments about its death investigation of Prince Nelson."

Thea

I believe this document is fake because Prince's name is incorrect.  On his birth certificate, his name is Prince Roger Nelson and on the death certificate it is Prince Rogers Nelson.  You can't have errors on a legal document.

Nevermind

Yes Thea, that would be a clue that the person is alive and P the performer is retired ...

Rainbowblue

Great point Thea and Nevermind, about using the correct legal name on an Autopsy Report or Death Certificate for it to be a legally binding document.

Can someone please start a post of Prince's Birth Certificate if they have it for the Document section.

Is there a web page link stating US law, concerning usage of the correct legal name in an Autopsy or Death Certificate so that people can find the information quickly?

This Autopsy Report Report Press Release isn't a legal document at all.
It's a Press Release.

None of the legal requirements were met for this document to be considered an actual legally binding Autopsy Report. Its just a Press Release informing the press information about an autopsy report.

There is no evidence in this press release that an autopsy was ever performed or an autopsy report was ever filed.

In a couple of days I'm gonna do some research about Autopsy Reports, Press releases and post what I find. Hopefully it's something interesting to discuss.

Take care everyone : )

"A press release, news release, media release, press statement or video release is a written or recorded communication directed at members of the news media for the purpose of announcing something ostensibly newsworthy. Typically, they are mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to assignment editors andjournalists at newspapers, magazines, radio stations, online media, television stations or television networks."

"Press Releases Law & Legal Definition"

"Press releases—also known as news releases—are brief, printed statements that outline the major facts of a news story in journalistic style.

Preparing A News Release

Ideally, the news release will generate enough interest that the media will choose to cover the story themselves. A news release may also be useful as a handout to provide basic information to reporters who come to cover a story.

The release itself should obey standard journalistic practice. The first paragraph should signal the essence of the story: who, what, when, where, why, and how. The remainder of the news release should provide more detail-supporting information—such as facts and figures or quotes from people involved—in most-important to least-important order. Overall, a news release should be crisp and concise, never exceeding two pages in length, and similar to a newspaper article in content and style.

News releases should be typed on company letterhead and include the name and address of the company, its trademark or logo, the name and telephone number of a contact person the date, and the words "News Release." (Or "Press Release") The importance and scope of the story determines where it should be sent. In most cases, it would be appropriate to send it to the business editors of the local print media.  Some publications have begun accepting press releases online.

(The Medical Examiners Office unlike most Press Releases is not addressed to anyone just posted on Twitter)

PRESS RELEASES IN THE AGE OF ELECTRONIC INFORMATION

The common press release has undergone several significant changes in recent years as the Internet has revolutionized the way news is delivered.

http://definitions.uslegal.com/p/press-releases/

(Press Releases governed by SEC?)
"...issuers could meet Regulation FD's "public disclosure" requirement by filing a Form 8-K, by distributing a press release through a widely disseminated news or wire service..."
http://www.prnewschannel.com/sec-regulations/

(Most of the requirements for distributing a press release have been met.)
1. News releases should be typed on company letterhead (Midwest Medical Examiner)
2. and include the name and address of the company, its trademark or logo, the name and telephone number of a contact person the date,
(All provided and visable)
3. and the words "News Release." (Or "Press Release")

However a Press Release is not an autopsy or a "legal" document.

"Voltaire said "To the living we owe respect, but to the dead we owe only the truth."

"Understanding the value of the autopsy report and the information accompanying it is a valuable asset to all investigators.

The course of the death investigation has multiple phases including: scene investigation, body assessment, medical records, and the forensic autopsy. This is finalized in three (LEGAL) documents: the death certificate, the investigator's report, and the autopsy report.

An Overview of Death Investigation
At all death scenes there are two scenes: location(s) of the incident and the body itself. If a crime is suspected, the incident will belong to the investigating law enforcement agency; and the body, together with all items on or about it, will belong to the medical examiner's office. The agencies will work independently of each other with overlapping goals...(etc)

Autopsies are valuable and are a component of a complete investigation, if one is performed. All violent, suspicious, unnatural, and unattended deaths are investigated (these account for a small percentage of reported deaths). A preliminary investigation, statute, and protocol will dictate if an autopsy is performed. The authorization of the autopsy depends on the circumstances of the death and the protocol of the medical examiner's office...(etc)

The death investigator will submit his report, detailing the findings of his scene investigation, evidence review, and medical records review. The forensic pathologist will review the death investigator's report and case file to finalize his autopsy report and certify the Cause and Manner of Death.

Autopsy Report Format and Contents
Autopsy reports are not casual or interesting reading material. They are very informative when reviewed with all concurrent investigative reports and evidence. All autopsy reports follow a general format as approved by the National Association of Medical Examiners (thename.org). Although they may differ in appearance, the general content format consists of: Diagnoses, Toxicology, Opinion, Circumstances of Death, Identification of the Decedent, General Description of Clothing and Personal Effects, Evidence of Medical Intervention, External Examination, External Evidence of Injury, Internal Examination, Samples Obtained – Evidence, Histology and Toxicology, and Microscopic Examination. When the autopsy report is reviewed by the lay person their focus is on the first four items, as these are the summary of the remaining medical details of the report. It is important to review the report and all of the information contained therein for the complete picture. It is also important to understand what is in an autopsy report before we can begin to decipher all the latent and patent information it contains.

What to Look For
Often a report is reviewed with the anticipation of it stating what you want it to. This is the wrong approach. Look at what it is telling you and what it is not telling you...etc"

A death investigation is finalized in three (LEGAL) documents: the death certificate, the investigator's report, and the autopsy report.

"legal document
1
n(law) a document that states some contractual relationship or grants some right
Synonyms:instrument, legal instrument,official document
https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/legal%20document

Legal instrument is a legal term of art that is used for any formally executed writtendocument that can be formally attributed to its author,[1] records and formally expresses a legally enforceable act, process,[2] or contractual duty, obligation, or right, and therefore evidences that act, process, or agreement.[3][4] Examples include a certificate, deed, bond, contract, will, legislative act, notarial act, court writ or process, etc
Many legal instruments were written under seal by affixing a wax or paper seal to the document in evidence of its legal execution and authenticity (which often removes the need for consideration in contract law); however, today many jurisdictions have done away with the requirement of documents being under seal in order to give them legal effect.

Electronic legal documents
In this electronic age, document authenticationcan now be verified digitally using various software.
In modern times, authentication is no longer limited to the type of paper used, the specialized seal, stamps, etc., as document authentication software helps secure the original context.

Most United States' courts prefer the filing of electronic legal documents over paper. However, there is not yet a public law to unify the different standards of document authentication. Therefore, one must know the court's requirement before filing court papers.

To date, the variety (and inadequacy) of the definitions used for digital signatures (or electronic signatures) have produced a legal and contractual minefield for those who may be considering relying on the legality and enforceability of digitally signed contracts in any of many jurisdictions. Adequate legislation adequately informed bycryptographic engineering technology remains an elusive goal. That it has been fully, or adequately, achieved (in any jurisdiction) is a claim which must be taken with considerable caution."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legal_instrument

(LEGAL DOCUMENTS: the death certificate, the investigator's report, and the autopsy report. Can not be legally filed or released via a Press Release on Twitter as a stand alone legal document. The Autopsy Report has to be filed with the state. So far there is no evidence that a death certificate, and the autopsy report have been legally filed.

Some where there has to be a case or filing number.

(A verified Twitter account DOES NOT HAVE DOCUMENT AUTHORIZATION SOFTWARE OR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE CAPABILITIES. TWITTER IS FOR SOCIAL MEDIA and INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES AND NOT LEGAL PURPOSES. DOCUMENTS RELEASED VIA TWITTER IS NOT LEGALLY ENFORCEABLE under the United States Congress enacted the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act in 2000 (P.L. 106-229 of 2000, 15 USCS sec. 7001)

This Press Release does not meet the requierments of qualifing as an electronic legal document requiring an electronic signature that shows it was received by the state. It is a scan of a signed paper that has falls under the requirements of a paper document under the definition of:

"Legal instrument any formally executed writtendocument that can be formally attributed to its author,[1] records and formally expresses a legally enforceable act, process,[2] or contractual duty, obligation, or right, and therefore evidences that act, process, or agreement.[3][4] Examples include a certificate, deed, bond, contract, will, legislative act, notarial act, court writ or process, etc
Many legal instruments were written under seal to the document in evidence of its legal execution and authenticity (which often removes the need for consideration in contract law"

This scanned copy of a Press Release doesn't meet the requirements of a paper legal document it

1.not been Notarized,
2.with no Verified legal identification of the signature
3. No State Seal
4. No Date of Filing
5. No file or case number

I believe this document is fake because Prince's name is incorrect.  On his birth certificate, his name is Prince Roger Nelson and on the death certificate it is Prince Rogers Nelson.  You can't have errors on a legal document.

Are there any documents online verifying that? It's interesting because the same issue was with MJ and Elvis and to me that is a huge piece of evidence of a hoax. But I googled and I couldn't find any passports, driver's licenses or any other legal document from Prince.

Nevermind

interesting that report the clothing list : black beanie black shirt grey undershirt black pants black underwear + black sox
Y a grey undershirt ?
and how long would it take to put all those clothes on backwards and the sox inside out
and it is not mentioned in the report ...
strange !

MIRvmn

yes everything black except the grey undershirt, I find that strange and apparently he had no shoes on. It seems like it was the same clothes as he had at Walgreens, so I wonder when did he put on the clothes backwards and socks inside out? Did he take of all clothes when he got home and in the middle of the night get dressed again with the same clothes he had the day before? It all seems wierd
Thunder, all through the night
Promise to see Jesus in the morning light
Take my hand, it'll be alright
C'mon save your soul tonight

Kylie

The back to front and inside out clothing doesn't make sense at all. It was probably just put into that article so we will know that it's all a load of BS.
The information was from a 'source' . Who knows who this source is and if they're even credible.
I read an interview where Patti LaBelle says Prince is very clean and changes clothes at least 6 times a day, so him wearing the same clothes all day and all night  and putting those clothes back on again after taking them off is very unlike him.
Plus, the report says that he was wearing black underwear....we all know Prince didn't wear undies LOL

Nevermind

the oddest thing about the report and the difference between the news report is  the black beanie hat ?
